UAE Midday Work Ban: PPE and Heat Stress Prevention

MOHRE enforces an annual midday work ban from 15 June to 15 September (12:30 PM to 3:00 PM). Heat stress risks extend well beyond these hours.

PPE for Heat Prevention

Cooling vests, UV-protective clothing, hard hat neck shades, SPF 50+ sunscreen, and insulated hydration containers are essential during UAE summer.

Monitoring

Implement Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) monitoring. Adjust work-rest schedules based on readings. Train all workers on heat stress recognition before summer.
