Protecting Road Workers on UAE Highways

UAE highways have speeds up to 140 km/h. PPE requirements for road workers are among the most stringent of any outdoor occupation.

Hi-Vis Requirements

Class 3 garments mandatory within or adjacent to traffic lanes. Class 2 alone is not sufficient for highway operations. Night work requires prismatic reflective tape and may require LED enhancement for flaggers.

Additional PPE

Type II hard hats for lateral impact from flying debris. Shatterproof safety glasses. Steel-toe boots with reflective elements. Hearing protection near heavy road machinery.
